made a submission some time ago to Lostshows.com for the following Associated-Rediffusion series tx 1959-1960. Originally made in 1955, these were shown by A-R under the series title Crooked Path. Lostshows.com say 26 made, 24 are Missing. I have located 14 of these 24 at the bfi...listing them in the submission to Lostshows as follows..nb these are awaiting confirmation of holdings by the bfi. 1. Cross Channel 35 mm Mute 2. Killer At Large 35 mm Mute 3. The Search For Martha Harris 35 mm Mute 4. Side Entrance 35 mm Sound 5. Stranger In Town 35 mm Mute 1654 Feet and Sound 696 Feet 6. Two Of A Kind 35 mm Sound 7. Stranglehold 35 mm Combined 8. Death In White 35 mm Mute 1695 Feet and Sound 653 Feet 9. Death Walks By Night 35 mm Combined 10. A Gift From Heaven 35 mm Sound ...Patrick McGoohan 11. Good Name Murder 35 mm Combined 12. Murder Of A 'Ham' Mute 35 mm 1530 Feet and Sound 817 Feet 13. Snapshot 35 mm Combined 14. Wrong Time Murder 35 mm Combined not listed on Lostshows.com, but listed along with these is, 15. Dead Man's Evidence 35 mm Combined .....Honor Blackman........so is this an Existing Episode or one not known about? The episodes 'The Verdict' and 'The Very Silent Traveler' have had their titles and cast "verified on film" by the people at CTVA,so they could quite well exist in one of the larger U.S. archives. Sam Kydd is in the latter, too.'The Search for Martha Harris' has also been checked in this way, with no mention of the copy being mute, which sounds hopeful! They also note that .Second Sight' has "no introduction by Ron Randall on video".

John, The Mantrap A-R All 7 episodes Missing...there is no filmographic record for this Series at the bfi, let alone any of the 7 episodes. The Hostage 15/10/56 from Mantrap was directed by Robert Tronson...no sign of this episode at bfi. bfi does have an episode called The Hostage 1956 which does have Ron Randell in the cast, held on 35 mm, but this has as the director Harold Huth and has Westbridge Films and Douglas Fairbanks Productions as the Production Companies.

Currently the 2 existing episodes for Crooked Path are 23/10/59 By Persons Unknown and 5/2/60 Diplomatic Error, so the episode mentioned above, 15. Dead Man's Evidence 35 mm combined full cast Ron Randell, Honor Blackman, John Stone, John Longden and Brenda Hogan, Directed by Ernest Morris, who also directed some other above, written by Ken(t) Taylor who wrote other episodes, is very possibly an episode not previously known to have been shown as an episode of Crooked Path.

Lostshows.com currently have Dispatches as all 713 episodes..existence unknown...Missing.
I spotted that the bfi list around 682 of them as held, so sent Kaleidoscope, details for around the 682. Wheels have turned, bfi have kindly sent Kaleidoscope a list and Kaleidoscope are painstakingly working through the list.

Thanks,Simon.EVERY time I click for more information on Unionsearch I get I get an error message.Could they really have a half-hour discussion about licensed victualing? I was so hoping it was a repeat of one of the earlier-in-1966 shows...
