This b&w LWT show - ( which might be held by granada so might not be missing ) should probably be checked for clips from missing shows - 1969 Callan clips would be nice

All the audios are known, too. I recently helped return these to the BBC.

It has to be said that a lot of the other Southern titles which result from a BFI search appear under the subtitle of the programme rather than the main title. e.g. "Freewheelers", "Worzel Gummidge" and "Take a Letter Mr. Jones". This rather hampers the ability to search easily.

Two Armchair Theatres: Some Talk of Alexander/A Voice in the Sky at LSA.
LSA list 'Scott on Money'. Is that in fact 'Scot on Wealth'?
Lostshows has 'Man Friday' 1975 as 'missing'.Is this the same one out on DVD?

The "normal" BFI database is just a listing of some programmes that were made and not necessarily ones which exist. It's very misleading.
According to the Kal guide I have, there's one episode existing as a b/w t/r (the series was in colour) and some filmed inserts. That's all. It would be nice to see more as I can remember the series myself.

I noticed two Hippodromes,25/01/61 and 10/10/66.Neither seems to be a date on which it might have been transmitted.Did it vary by region,or didn't that happen with Rediffusion? The 1961 Hippodrome tx date must mean it's a totally different series to "The Hippodrome Show" (Rediffusion, 8 editions, 1966 and shot in colour - talked about in other threads). Don't let that put you off though as it's only by people picking up on a detail and that puzzles them and putting two and two together that discoveries are made!

All threads relating to individual missing programmes potentially located at the BFI are now merged here, to keep things tidy. Post any further discoveries on this topic here from now on. Thanks folks.

I the 'Out of the Unknown: the Little Black Bag' the complete episode or a copy of the footage that's already in the BBC archives?

IIRC, the BFI had a searchable database online years ago (would have been around 2004/2005) that listed a load of stuff that was missing ('The Offshore Island', episodes of 'R3', 'Caves of Steel' among others), which ultimately turned out not to be in the BFI archive. Is this another iteration of that database? As lovely as it would be for all this missing stuff to have been recovered, has there been any definite confirmation?

I the 'Out of the Unknown: the Little Black Bag' the complete episode or a copy of the footage that's already in the BBC archives? It says that the length of the programme is 50 minutes long on the site, but as has been said before, the timings listed are not always correct. I hope it is the complete programme, it's so frustrating that the story starts out of nowhere half way through, and then ends just before the famous climax.

Has there been any definitive confirmation from the BFI that any of this stuff exists in their archive, rather than just being an entry on a database?

Thames Television - "The Enchanted House" - listed as 39 episodes all missing on Lostshows; the BFI catalogue lists most of these as surviving, albeit some without soundtracks and some as sound:Unknown. ( put nellyphant in the search engine for a full list) To add to the confusion three episode titles appear twice on the lostshows list but this may be correct as apart from two of those three there is no duplication in the holdings, two episodes are listed as "Robin And Worm" - the BFI hold two episodes with that title. Two episodes are listed as "Nellyphant's Scrap Book" - but confusingly they are listed by lost shows as the first two episodes of series 2 but with almost a year between broadcasts...; the BFI hold one under that title and one under the second broadcast date. I don't know this series at all - this link suggests it was never fully missing as there was a vhs release featuring two episodes, a post on this forum in 2007 suggested they all survived ( but it also said it was a children's drama rather than a 10/15 minute animation) thiswayupzine.blogspot.co.uk/2011/08/forgotten-tv-enchanted-house.htmlalso - the untitled first episode on lostshows is likely to be - "How It All Began" & a further episode "A Bear Called Kim" isn't listed by lost shows at all but there are still three episodes unaccounted for "The secret" & "Quite An Adventure" & one version of "The Party"- so it's likely to be one of them with the wrong title on one of the two sites.
