I think it probably is the 17th. Great clip though! I think it probably is which means the listing for the 19th is wrong unless they had the same people on two weeks on the trot. so....are we certain it's the episode from the 10th December that's missing and the 17th is safe in the archive?

Is this a fair reflection of the cost of pulling a VT from the archive and transferring it from the original format to a DVD ? Or is it an artificially high fee to prevent the BBC from being flooded with requests ?

Good question. Anyone who has worked in VT or archives at a TV company should consider responding. Bear in mind though, that ITN Source and some private archives charge more....

I suspect that the BBC would hate for hundreds of requests to come through @9.99 a pop. With the best will in the world,it's difficult to see some of them not ending up on Youtube,or released commercially.
(At least some classic BBC material is being released officially, including Dixon of Dock Green and Marriage Lines).

Five minutes of a partially missing Saturday Superstore on VHS. It seems to be: 14.01.84 Episode 15 - Leo SAYER, Robin GIBB, Juan MARTIN & Nerys HUGHES. Looks like Leo Sayer sitting next to Mike Read? Scooby Doo ends and Sarah Greene adopts an American accent saying "Scooby Doo always saves the day". Then an exercise sequence with a reward of a doughnut. That's pretty much complete, ending just as it seems to be winding up. Any way of finding out which sequences from 14.01.84 the BBC has?

The TV Museum holds extracts from VHS of three missing episodes of Superstore: 5/2/83 (23 mins) 19/3/83 (28 mins - with sound!) 29/10/83 (20 mins)
Also 5/11/83 (13m) and 19/11/83 (1hr 4m) but I understand they both exist.
