Kinks on Dutch show "Fanclub" April/May 1967

Noticed the Kinks wikipedia entry had a photo en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:KinksFanclubCropped.png
I'd never seen before of The Kinks from this appearance , recorded April 28th 1967, broadcast May 5th, where the band performed the continental single "Mr Pleasant", and the flip side "This Is Where I Belong" (!)
Was wondering if anyone knew anything about the archive status of this programme? They also recorded The Dutch programme The Adele Bloementhal Show the following day, performing "Dead End Street", "Sunny Afternoon" and "Mr Pleasant".

The early Pink Floyd appeared on Fan Club around the same time (colour photos exist) so if the Kinks appearance exists then it's hopeful for other acts as well. The Floyd appearance hasn't surfaced yet although I remain hopeful.

I'd never heard of the other show you mention before now but it sounds interesting too. Never seen a studio appearance for Dead End Street from the period before so that would be a rarity if it turned out to exist!

Hmm, Very Interesting reading above. Was quite surprised to see this as well here. I remember The Pink Floyd " Fan Club" photo. This is fantastic news here in regards, thank you for sharing ajsmith!

Never heard of the other show either, sounds interesting however in regards. Agreed, I have never seen a studio performance either for " Dead End Street", is one I have been wanting to see however I will say. I hope that this and The Pink Floyd performance may be found to still exist. Likewise there Laurence, fingers crossed in regards.

Checked Doug Hinman's book (where this most of the info above came from) - in fact Pink Floyd recorded their Fan Club appearance the day after the Kinks (the 29th), the same day the Kinks recorded the Adele Blomenthal Show.
Btw, "Adele Blomenthal" returns ZERO Google hits! Very obscure stuff indeed!

David Bowie's first TV appearance out of England was on the Dutch TV show 'Fanclub', Jimmy Hendrix also performed on this programme.

Do any of these shows survive..? The Honeybus pic is wonderful.....could we be closer to the FIRST ever Honeybus performance or have all these shows bit the dust?

I'd be particularly keen to see the Pink Floyd appearance from April 1967 (of which there are colour photos existing) although it hasn't so far surfaced. No one seems to know much about the background to this series archivally.

The footage hasn't been used in any of the BR DVDs I have, if it were available I'm sure Bert Van Breda would of acquired the rights to some of it.
The Honeybus performing 'I Can't Let Maggie Go' is a rare as rocking horse s**t and Marianne Faithfull performed As Tears go By, Summer Nights & This Little Bird.
Donovan, the Kinks, David Bowie, Pink Floyd, Sandy Shaw, Jimmy Hendrix, Dave Berry, Cream, the Fortunes, PP Arnold & Cat Stevens also appeared.

From what I can ascertain most of the reels have been wiped but not all, for example:

Hmm. That's the first definite info I've seen on the series. My comment was based on a few Floyd specialist sites which seem to have every detail under the sun about their other appearances but draw a blank on this one's existence (or otherwise). I guess it's missing though. As Alan says, it's a shame as the programme was probably an interesting one.
