I will also throw in my two cents and say thank you to everybody concerned. It is always a treat when previously "lost" films and recordings are discovered (and not just Doctor Who)

Yes and those 2 recovered eps were the least any of us were expecting! There has never to my knowledge been a rumour of Underwater menace being"found" before!

Hello everyone,
Given the recent fabulous recovery news, I've taken a great interest in the missing episodes and have decided to become a member here! Hope you don't mind! Hello everyone. The forum makes for rivetting reading!
I'd like to add my thanks here too! I feel indebted Paul and the team and cannot wait to see Galaxy 4 and Underwater Menace.
Hope I'm not reading too much into this or putting a cat amongst the pigeons but found Paul's reply of "I have definitely not found Tenth Planet 4" to imply that there is SOMETHING ELSE he's come across. I could be imagining things and simply wishful thinking but I'd so love for something else to crop up, though it seems too good to be true after the frankly incredible news before Christmas.
Thanks again to everyone involved in the search. Your work is appreciated by so, so many.
Kind regards,
Johnny

Obviously,I'm very pleased that the episodes have been found...but it was a bit like the sketch where Tommy Cooper has a violin and a painting; works by Rembrandt and Stradiverius.Trouble is,the violin's by Rembrandt... And the Hartnell and Troughton episodes are Galaxy 4 and Underwater Menace.

Speaking as one who's tastes have come to 60's Who over time, and as a new forum member I'd also like to say thank you :-) Thank You!
