Normally I write for my site From the Archive but I wrote an article for Doctor Who Worldwide about this Marco Polo hoax this week. In the article, I touch on why I think simple logistical thinking may help to get us to understand why everything is taking so long. Please check it out: doctorwhoworldwide.com/2014/01/30/opinion-marco-polo/Nicely done Greg - a really good read.

Listened to this after Percy Harvin returned the 2nd half KO for a TD in the SB. Nice job as always, Greg.

This new article is the story of me and Shada. From how I acquired an incomplete copy of the story from the late 1980s to helping Ian Levine and a team of others on a project to animate the unfinished segments. This is the story of how much fun it was and how devastating it was to not have the BBC pick it up. This is the story of how we were in the running to animate The Reign of Terror and the plan I had in place to create an animation machine that would keep moving until every missing episode was completed. This was all sparked by a story called Shada. If you like this article, please share it. I am on Twitter: @fromthearchive Greg, can I just say that your examples of the animated Shada, MTTU and ROT are absolutely stunning! Hartnell's rendering for ROT is fantastic. I would love to see the full versions and it would be interesting to see alternate versions of those animations released officially.Do you or Ian have any plans to release them in some shape or form? I would love to have them in my collection!

I would love to have them in my collection! Hello! Thank you for reading my article. I just want to give credit where credit is due. The characters and animation for Shada and MTTU was done through people Ian hired so I had little to do with that apart from coordination and the titles. The Reign of Terror was from talent that I sourced. The 4 characters for Reign of Terror I have pictured (Ian, Susan, Jules, and Barbara) was the original direction we were going to go with the characters. Even the BBC seemed to like them. After Reign fell through, Ian wanted to do other animations privately. I was still helping him with it but I wanted to strive for better character designs than what we had put together for Reign. That's when I got Justin in and he created those amazing designs of Hartnell. Around that time, Justin, myself and some animators were going to put a test reel together to show Dan Hall. It was going to have scenes from Power, Web of Fear and possible one other to get an idea of scope and range of what we could do. The Yeti design were going to be incredibly detailed with the fur and etc. It was too late because Pup Ltd was finishing up their work with the range and Web was about to be found. There isn't anything more I plan on doing until we know how this Philip Morris situation nets out.

I love the MISSION TO THE UNKNOWN animation. I have not idea why BBC has nothing do with IAN LEVINE. This stuff is great.

The Missing Episode Rumour Round-Up # 5 is here! In this controversial episode, we reveal that Easter is cancelled. There has been a lot of curious things happening in the missing episode rumour mill over the last week that we discuss such as Taiwanese episode finds that may not be episode finds at all, a possible missing relative find for Pamela Nash and a well-known source for missing episode “news” that has a more sensible approach to rumours which are now much more aligned to what The Others believe. We asked for questions listeners wanted answered about missing episodes and well……we answer them! Plus as usual, anything else we feel relevant to this missing episode saga. We are The Others. Not missing Doctor Who episodes related but missing British television related focusing on A For Andromeda. The title of this article refers to the name of the last episode for A For Andromeda, The Last Mystery. The problem with this episode is that it is missing from the BBC Archives apart from the last two reels. This is what excites me and depresses me about the subject. We can get random bits and pieces of series back which is kind of cool but unfortunately, they are missing to begin with. I actually look at the last two episodes of the story including episode 6: The Face of the Tiger. I look at these two episodes in detail. I also take a moment and discuss why I even started this site and how I perhaps started to lose sight of the bigger picture. Please check it out. Thanks, Greg.
It has been easier to get lost for us DW fans because 2013 was so eventful. Even so, I actually think getting caught up in the frenzy is somewhat of a good thing because we have renewed hope that more can be recovered and that we can see what others have been raving about all these years.

I hope so. I think something like the return of the remaining episodes of Dad's Army would be a huge boost to this cause of non- Doctor Who finds.

The Others feels strongly about the spreading of information especially where missing episodes are concerned. There are people who take a lot of the information they are given at face value and they rely on these parties that give out this information to be as truthful as possible. In this episode, The Others give their opinion about how people on the Internet who have this influence on other people have a responsibility with what they are reporting. One member of The Others cites an example of this from a recent Facebook exchange he was a part of a little while ago. Every attempt has been made to represent this viewpoint in this podcast as fair as possible. Also, there is a round-up of facts on missing episodes. What do we really know vs. the un-researched to-good-to-be-true rumour of the day. We are open for sensible debate on this issue. For this episode, The Others wanted to have a readable transcript of this episode available at the time of posting by trying to hire someone to do it or find someplace online to create it. No luck in finding a suitable resource. If anyone has any ideas on how to do this cheaply, it would be appreciated. We are The Others.
