Sorry, if this has been asked before, or it's a dumb query, but...
It appears that two missing Dad's Army episodes were recovered as a result of having been provided to the company that made the Dad's Army movie.
Walt Disney were interested in making a film of Marco Polo.
Is it possible Walt Disney were provided with copies of some or all the episodes and has it ever been checked?

No, Disney weren't provided with copies. The London office made a brief initial enquiry of possible interest, but there's no indication that they ever followed it up.

It seems most avenues for enquiry have been exhausted or draw a blank these days. Shame. But we've got to keep the faith!

Has anyone actually sent an enquiry to Disney about whether or not they were given prints of the story? Although it seems highly unlikely, couldn't there still be a small chance that they were?

It now looks VERY likely that this wasn't anything to do with Disney being interested in remaking the story in some form, but rather from a Disney-related publishing company that had a brief passing interest in producing a possible comic strip version of the story.

Well that's a shame then. I was really hoping that there was a chance of another print in existance!
