Hello Again Everyone,
Just last evening I quite literally stumbled upon ( what I believe ) to be a another great historical find. The most important being 1:12 sec of footage shot off the TV set in 1971 from the BBC coverage of the Apollo 15 Moonlanding in 1971, with James Burke presenting no less. Right on the heels of my discovering the ITV-ITN 1969 Apollo 11 moon landing coverage with Peter Fairley no less. There are also a few fleeting seconds of footage of a Granada TV ident, and the intro-countdown for Lift Off ( stated 1972 on the clip ). Is also a BBC 2 Colour Test Card presented in context preceding the Granada TV emblem. Is interesting as would have been switching channels quite quickly to have completed this, unless was home edited of course. Somewhat of a compilation real am guessing here. I have also e-mailed the poster, attempting to ascertain if has any further footage-materials in regards. I will let everyone know if I hear anything further there. There is also is some footage from a 1971 edition of The Goodies, as well as part of a concert at The Allinsons Theater from 1974, Unknown performer- song, looked like a Rod Stewart. Any info would be appreciated on that one. Granted, this post has material that is not specifically music related, however comprises music related materials. Thought this would be a good place to post.Along with the ITN 1969 Apollo 11 Moonlanding Coverage 8mm film and audio recording of almosty an hours worth of the ITV 1969 Apollo 11 coverage on YouTube. As well as the three George Hamilton IV and Other Folk BBCTV editions from 1973 ( on b/w am guessing, hoping colour,no deffinite answer there sadly at present: 1/2in VT Spools perspectively):
Lift Off Clip, with BBC2 Test Card Preceding. Has the Girl and doll one in its original context no less. As have seen umpteen fan re-creations of this very card. Is the first time have seen in its own context on air:
