Clearly things come to light as a result of trawling Youtube, so it's never a wate of time. Frustratingly, it doesn't always result in an item being returned to the archives (e.g. The Holiies - Bus Stop from TOTP 1966) but it can at least conclusively prove the existence of material previously unknown. In some cases though (as Ray has proved on more than one occasion), the item does get returned.

20/04/1979, early domestic video transfer, Mr Cosgill's Delight on Magpie www.youtube.com/watch?v=ao7FU6QBN6I""Missing or incomplete episodes for programme MAGPIE. Of almost 1000 editions, only 60 - mainly filmed specials - survive. Filmed sequences from around 150 exist, leaving over 750 completely lost..... 20.04.79 Episode 59 (missing)"" I found this missing clip of MAGPIE, its from 1977 but it features Susan Stranks, who i thought left the show in 1974. www.youtube.com/watch?v=I3QhuU4Y0xs&feature=channel_video_title
