The Tomfoolery Show was also shown in the TyneTees region, on Saturday mornings I think?
Wasn't it on after Herges Adventures of TinTin,
and Belle and Sebastian
and The White Horses..here I go down memory lane.....

Thanks for the replies Stephen, Pippi and Brian D.
I'm in the Granada region. The Tomfoolery Show was I think on Sunday afternoons here. Though being so young, it's all a bit hazy, would love to know if it survives.
Brian D....a good site that, I have checked it before though about six months ago when doing some research. Very informitive.
Stephen.....I also listened to the pirate stations on Sundays though being from up north, they were Liverpool pirate radio stations. Excellent days.
Back to the thread title, Huck etc. I can;'t get the song 'Oh my darling Clementine ' out of my head for some reason! ;D

I remember Tomfoolery. Also from around that time was "Ali Bongo's Cartoon Carnival" - I seem to remember seeing Ali Bongo riding on a "merry-go-round" at the end of each show. The other children's programme I remember watching Sunday Lunchtime was "The Funky Phantom". Ah, they don't make them like that anymore. Peter

Peter, glad you remember Tomfoolery Show! I do remember the Ali Bongo programme you mention, but so vague I can't even comment on whether it was good or bad, as so depleted are my brain neurons, I'm afraid. And scientists have the cheek to say we never forget anything. Every memory we've ever had, everything we've ever seen is all there in our brain somewhere, filed away. We just can't remember where we filed it, so it stays dim and vague. Even if we find the correct drawer it is contained in there's so much other junk in there that it's hard to find/descramble. Anyway we'll leave that for the scientists. Back to cartoons... Regarding Funky Phantom this seems to be the the ugly half sister of the kids mystery solving cartoon type thingys like Scooby Doo and Josie and the girl thingycats. Of course Scooby and Josie have had numerous repeats and even films made, but it's been a longtime since I've seen a Funky Phantom cartoon and it is Hanna barbera too, so maybe we should fire off an email to the appropriate people, Time warner or Cartoon network UK particularly the Boomerang station. I just used to love this cartoon, so you never know.

Of course my last paragraph should've been as follows and not the unintelligible way it came across, I should've previewed it, sorry...
"Regarding Funky Phantom this seems to be the ugly half sister of the kids mystery solving cartoon type thingys like Scooby Doo and Josie and the pussycats."

Sorry I understand what's going on now, the board won't let me type Josie and the p***ycats due to p***y possibly being a rude word. How silly is that. So it comes out with girl thingycats ;D ;D ;D
