I'm doing some research into Southern Television's Freewheelers series and I'm trying to get in touch with Mark Harris who wrote a couple of pretty definitive articles on the show for Time Screen about a decade or so ago. Anyone able to to point me in his direction or him in mine would be most appreciated. Contact me off-list if necessary. Thanks Andy

The film editor who worked on the series ' Mike Womersley ' sometimes posts here and could probably help you out on this?

You could try contacting Anthony Mackay at the Timescreen webite and asking him (accessible via the Mausoleum Club site).

Thanks for the help, guys.
It is Mark that I am looking for as its regarding his Time Screen articles.
I've been in touch with Tony already but he lost contact with Mark some time back. It was he who suggested posting here and on the Mausaleum site.
Cheers

I'll second that - Season One would make a great DVD release! Surely only a matter of time?

I know that film inserts exist from some of the other series of Freewheelers, and as each episode often had a heavy film content with a little imagine you could still be able to present the stories on a DVD release.

I can see the DVD cover now: "the complete series 1" with all the film inserts as extras (and maybe that orphan season 2 episode as well). Network Video would be the ideal company to do the honours, given their track record for quality and restoration. I hope Mike Wormersley reads this thread again before too long. Are you there, Mike?
