Indeed,Thanks for that great clip posting Paul! Was surprised to see this went to air on VH1 Classic, interesting.Similarly am glad some footage featuring Paper Lace-"The Night Chicago Died" is still known to exist, and went to air no less!Very Neat! Here is another clip for fun. Am uncertain here, however am thinking this is a performance by Paper Lace on Top Of The Pops (1974)"Billy Don't Be A Hero".A very clean, and great quality recording displayed here.Again just for fun www.youtube.com/watch?v=6cdFuMgMkBMCheers,Lance.

Great footage Brian and with the 10cc bonus - is this from a missing edition ? I've certainly never seen this since it's original transmission.

It was on a compilation disc which I found on e-bay a few years back. A copy of which is now at the BBC.

A bit O/T, but some footage of PaperLace doing 'Blackeyed Boys' from 05/09/74, followed by an except of 10cc's 'Silly Love' from the same show.
What COULD be interesting, slightly is the brief appearance at the beginning (blink and you'll miss it) of John Christie performing 'Everybody But Me' from 28/02/74. This has surfaced before, but strange it's on the same upload. May have come from a second/third-gen VT, transferred on to the collectors market, I expect. Nevertheless.....

Anyone know where this live performance of 'Billy Don't Be A Hero' is from?

Yes, this means that TOTP performances of all 3 of their big hits still survive (two appearances for 'Billy Don't Be A Hero').
Still trying to find out the source of the above live clip of 'Billy...'. Anyone?

I remember seeing this clip on vh1 years ago, always thought it was a foreign tv appearance.

My first thought is that it was from 'Musikladen', but the only song they performed on the show was 'So What If I Am' on the 30th August 1975 edition. Could it be an outtake from the show's taping perhaps? Yes, I know they're wearing different clothes...
