Well... I for one would be pretty damned pleased if The Savages turned up complete. I don't think it gets the love it deserves... With the lack of episodes being recovered over the years, I'd be happy if any Hartnell or Troughton story turned up complete. Since I'm desperate for any type of episode being found, Mission to the Unknown would be welcome even though none of the regular cast appears. Oh, totally; Mission to the Unknown would be a very welcome return. Plus, it has Daleks in it...

I'd love to see The Highlanders! Both The Smugglers and The Highlanders would be most welcome - they're great yarns, both. Unfortunately it seems that just about every broadcaster who had prints of these seem to have returned or destroyed them...

I know I'm being a fantasist here but I'd like to believe the rumour of Macra being shown at a school in New Zealand in the 70s were true. If it were, and it existed in a private collection at the time, then in all probability it still exists now.

Grew up watching Jon Pertwee and the rest that followed but have been collecting all Doctor Who DVDs that's been out on sale. Watching the old William Hartnell and Patrick Troughton stories certainly add an air of excitement. Personally, I'd really like to see Marco Polo, Celestial Toymaker, The Smugglers, Power of the Daleks, and Web of Fear. Having watched the "Lost in Time" DVD, it made me realise just how much I'm keen to see the old stories.....

Forgive me, but really this thread is about what we believe is most likely to turn up, which can only be guessed upon a few unreliable 'facts'. This isn't a shopping list of what we'd like to see - surely there's only one answer for that anyway - ALL OF THEM!

Oh, to see Web of Fear again. Or Evil. I’d also be delighted to watch the two lost episodes from Moonbase. As for Hartnell stories – it has to be Marco Polo or some more Master Plan.

For me (if I could choose, of course!) any new recoveries would have to be Troughton, to redress the balance. There are plenty of Hartnells existing to enjoy, including some of his best. So if no more turned up, we do have a good selection. Troughton material is more notably lacking.

Looking back now at the decimated Troughton stories from seasons 4 and 5, it would have been nice if he had stayed on for a couple more seasons. At least that way we would have more of his stories to watch.

All of Pertwee's episodes exist on video in one form or another. If Patrick Troughton had stayed and filmed a season or two in color, then more countries would have been buying those stories. Seasons 7 and 8 can be presented as audio or video because people wanted color shows instead of black and white. The same can't be said for seasons 4 and 5.

just imagine the least likely one, I did just before the tomb of the cybermen and it turned up Were you disappointed when you finally got to watch it? i.e. was it an anticlimax? I've read a few times that people were terribly disappointed by it, after years of speculation about how good it was! (assuming you hadn't you seen it first time round?) I thought it was just fine by the way and it made my month!! Day of Armageddon completely and utterly surpassed any expectations I had of it. Would love to see some more of that story. Tim difficult to say, it was great to have it but I thought it was good but not great. I was amazed that a complete story just turned up and it didn't bother me that it wasn't a masterpiece. There were some big holes in the plot but overall well acted , it had all the problems that most tv did at the time so yes you could call it a classic. I enjoyed it but I didn't exist when it was shown the first time so I had no memory to compare it to. I just took it as it was, I also avoided the telesnaps/audio combo, sound only gives a false impression as our imagination is always better than reality. The Daleks masterplan does seem to be a true classic and yes I wish I could see the whole thing as well, who knows maybe by some miracle we'll get all the missing who episdes back one day. just imagine it hard and see what happens after all 80% of "reality" is generated purely by the brain

It has to be The Power Of The Daleks; The Evil Of The Daleks or The Web Of Fear for me although as with all Doctor Who longer than four episodes (and it is even a problem with a lot of those) the things will draaaaaaagggggg in places.
