Hi, I'm also from Bremen and I made a contact to Joerg Sonntag of Radio Bremen too. Joerg himself is a very big fan of the Rolling Stones for years, but he confirmed that the Stones had never been to the Studios in Bremen at the time Beat-Club was on the air. Instead, Mike Leckebusch was allowed to film the Stones during rehearsals in Cannes, France, in 1972 which produced at least the following songs: 1. "Loving Cup" (aired in BC No. 78 on 27/05/1972) 2. "Hipshake" a.k.a. "Shake Your Hips", it was planed for BC No. 79 on 24/06/1972 but it was never aired and only saw it's first airing during the night on September 25/26th 2005 on Radio Bremen TV / NDR Television as part of the 40th Anniversary Night for Beat-Club. 3. "Tumbling Dice" which has the same history as "Hipshake" ! At the time, Mike Leckebusch as producer (plus a very young Joerg Sonntag assisting him!) and Radio Bremen were the only TV station that were allowed to do the filming, so there might be more unreleased material in the archive from this performance in 1972, maybe even an early rendition of "Angie" ?! Some information about the lost coloured episode of 1967:A few months ago, in December 2008, I heard from a collector in Austria who has worked for a youth/pop/rock programme at austrian television ORF during the 70's (since 1968, ORF also did screenings of "Beat-Club" in their country). He claimed that he owned a full copy of the coloured 1967 show on Ampex videotape, which he borrowed from Radio Bremen during a research for a tv programme on ORF in the late seventies about the 60's music and culture alongside with other original Beat-Club shows of which he also claimed to have dubs from. Whether his story was true or not, I don't know, but I immediately contacted Radio Bremen and producer Joerg Sonntag and gave him the e-mail adress of this guy, who also claimed he did contact Mike Leckebusch shortly before his death in the year 2000 about the show. Since then, I haven't heard of Joerg Sonntag about this subject, but maybe if we are lucky, a digital remastered version of this show will be airing one day as part of "Vinyl - Rock & Popgeschichten" on Radio Bremen TV and on Eins Festival in brilliant, glorious colour. Regards, Oliver. (a.k.a."fascher") P.S. Welcome to the forum Frank, nice to see you "Beat Freak" !

I chased this up to, and yes, the Stones clips are on film, not in the BC studio. Also the list posted above is extra stuff "known to have been made", but not necessarily to "still exist", though much of the 1970+ stuff does. I have just been watching the Procol Harum session, for instance. The list is also incomplete, it would seem, as there are (for e.g.) 2 extra T Rex tracks, not just the one shown.
I think the Led Zep stuff is probably in the "doesn't exist" category, unless somebody knows otherwise.

In Beatclub there's a promo for Whol Lotta Love that uses some go-go girls (rather fruity for terrestrial tv!) and a series of stills. One of the stills is of the Zep in the Beatclub studio. You can see the massive logo. It was a black and white still but the logo would have been bright red and blue. They seemed to have based it on the London underground signs. All the Stones stuff would have been promos. e.g. !0,000 Light Years FROM home For Brian Jones' death they did a tribute commentary film with archive concert foootage, vox pops from England giving opinions of his death and footage of the funeral.

refering to T.Rex performances mentioned in a previous post.
within Beat Club official shows following performances were shown on broadcast 2/27/1971 BC 64 T.Rex Ride A White Swan 2/27/1971 BC 64 T.Rex Jewel 10/30/1971 BC 72 T.Rex Jeepster 10/30/1971 BC 72 T.Rex Life's A Gas
