I think Lance means that there is still a chance of recovery from australia as The Daleks invasion prints floating around Lance specifies that DIOE was "at the time missing", so he obviously doesn't mean that! Richard

Am sorry that this simple mistake apparently has upset some apparently, my apologies there as was not meant to be the case at all. This is the material I was given a while ago, and that is what I had stated previously. So, apologies there for that, hope that assists in clearing a few things up.
Also, on the matter of the DIOE prints, I was actually hoping that the information I was provided with on the collector holding a further example of 16mm EX-ABC Doctor Who episode, possibly, or very possibly not, no way to say at present there unfortunately. However, I was hoping that instead of spite, suspicion, and misgivings it would assist in stating a hope that there may be a chance possibly for future Doctor Who material recoveries from Australia, and that is that there, my apologies again if any were annoyed, or angered by this example of mis-information, apologies for that.
Cheers, Lance.

I don't think anyone is upset, Lance - just correcting a bit of mis-information, that's all! Richard

Exactly... No upset, spite, suspicion or misgivings generated in this quarter, either. Don't take it to heart so much...

What has been recovered from Australia? I can think of the following:
'The Celestial Toymaker' 4 'The Faceless Ones' 1 (already held by the BBC) 'Frontier in Space' 1-6 (4 & 5 already held by the BBC) Assorted censor clips
Did the PAL copy of 'Death to the Daleks' 1 come from Australia?

So I went to the swap meet in Seddon yesterday. It was a friendly little gathering in a very cold scout hall. Lot's of equipment, reels and so on. Nothing Who-related unfortunately, but many B-movies and films that I didn't know had even screened theatrically here (Asterix the Gaul, for one!). There were a handful of ABC items on film (documentaries on previous Australian Prime Ministers) and a few films which looked like they were old tv-copies (a copy of The Great Race with a Channel 9 catalogue sticker on it).
I'm glad I went all the same. Got the details of a number of film dealers and collectors as well, so I'll keep on keeping an eye out!
Unfortunately I can;t make the Giant Reel Fair on the 17th of August as I'm out of the country, but if anyone reading this is in the Melbourne area on that date, you know what to do!
