I am interrested to know if any developments have been made here Richard ? Seems like a good lead. Blimey! Give us a chance, Lance! Tracking people down can take *months* and it's that much harder when they have a fairly nondescript name like Peter Dean. No one seems to have heard of him after the late 1970s, so it's very possible that he's no longer around. Richard

Hello Again Richard,
If you re-read my posting I was merely currious if any developments had been made. I did not mean that I was impatient about this lead. So sorry for that, my mistake.
Peter Dean is a very common name. I wish you the best of luck with this lead Richard.
Lance.

I'm sorry to bring this back after 5 years but I have a few questions. (It was great to see this in NATEOTL #3)
Firstly does anyone on here have the cover for 8mm Magazine Vol. 7 No. 2? I know Richard Bignell has done a lot of research into it but I wondered if he had asked on here.
Also is anyone a member of the group mentioned above as I was wondering if the whole article was uploaded there?

Were they actually generic covers? I'm wondering since a lot of technical magazines back then had text covers.I\m wondering if that was why an alternate one from the period was used in the article when the cover of the actual issue couldn't be found?

I should add that if anyone's keen on getting the magazine,it was common for libraries, cine clubs, etc. to have magazines bound in boards without the covers and the ads on the outer leaves.

Also is anyone a member of the group mentioned above as I was wondering if the whole article was uploaded there? The Doctor's Talbot Samba has been defunct for quite some time now - and no, the whole article wasn't put up there. The only relevant bit is the section I republished in Lane #3.

perhaps you could try and contact the people who wrote the article and see if they have anything, after all they must have had a go at off screen recording if only to experiment. It's already being done! The picture in the magazine is from the missing Episode 4.] Oh! Does that mean that mikersand discovered a previously unknown off screen image of WiS 4?

at least we now have a new off screen photo.
Unfortuantely the show is almost 40 years ago.. if he was 40 at the time he could be 84 now.
even if he isnt alive, it might pay off to contact his relatives. perhaps they saved something?
Good lead but wish it was found years earlier.

George have you got NATEOLT #3? Richard managed to track him down! By the way do you know where I can find a photo of Mr. Dean?

Simeon, I am now am noticing the dates of the tread being years old. Its great that he was able to track him down. I dont have the article so if someone could post a followup, it would be great.
I think that reading between the lines we just have the still but would like to know the outcome.

I suggest you order a copy. I won't upload anything but I will leave that to Richard as it is his magazine (NATEOTL that is not 8mm Magazine).
