I'm not sure I could trade a black and white episode for a black and white episode as I'm a huge fan of the era. If I HAD to, I would probably take an episode from a story where it wouldn't be missed as much (for example, The War Games has plenty of surviving episodes...) or a couple of episodes from my least favourites (but still loved) The Keys of Marinus and The Seeds of Death.

Well... there's no answer to that, is there? ;D But seriously... It may be art - but is it "Dr Who"? Well....the BBC considers it as such. I don't know if that's a good thing or not. On one hand, the movie was horrid. On the other hand, they have a more emcompassing view of what outside the old series is in continunity than say, Paramont has to "Star Trek." They don't consider the animated series canon, for example. Shucks, rumor has it they're gonna say "Enterprise" didn't really happen in the last episode.

Well... I grew up with the original sixties Star Trek so never really had much time with the constant regurgitation of the concept. (I tell a lie - I used to watch the odd episode if only for Seven-of-Nine - but that's another story...) Anyway - I've lost track. What were we burning again? "The Celestial Toymaker" or The Movie? I forget. Nup - bugger it. Lets lose all the silly Bakers (both Bakers, that is) for the sixties... Shake hands on that deal and I'll throw in (at no extra charge) "Terminus" and "Warriors of the Deep" an' all... Hell, while we're at it, let's dematerialise Adric completely... Yeah? 'K? Kewl.

This reminds me of something I said to my brother a few weeks back: wouldn't it be great if you could destroy every episode of Big Brother and get back a full set of Doctor Who episodes in return. Sounds like a much better trade to me!
Then I'd start destroying all the other docusoap rubbish in an effort to get back the missing episodes of Dad's Army, Hancock, Doomwatch, Quatermass et al.

TBH, there's quite a lot of Who I'd burn for the return of the missing Season 2 Dad's Army and the missing Quatermass Experiment episodes... Regards Stuart

Just do me a favor and skip over "The Amazing Race" during your tirade of mass destruction, okay? That one is actually worthwhile. I wish I hadn't recorded Season 2's African episodes. I do have the "Oswald and Danny go shopping" episode, however. That being said, I've decided that I'd trash the "Star Wars Holliday Special" to get back "The Feast of Stephen." How's that? I'm sure George Lucas would too.
