I see there's an article about 60's monster makers and in particular the manufacture of the Macra in the next issue of DWM.Curious perhaps...( not wishing to attract the wrath of Paul V! )?

Doubt it means anything we want it to. Interest in 60s Who is riding high after the 9 eps last year so they're likely just following on from that.

On the Gallifrey Base forum, Tom Spilsbury has explained that it's an article about Shawcraft, submitted to the magazine on-spec in early December by the daughter of the company's founder.

Was that the company run by the two brothers? Apparently it was impossible to get any information from them because brother a disputed everything that brother b said. And vice versa.

hopefully the article will have a photo of the "morrie thou" the Macra was built upon...... which i was shown many years ago (early 80s) by a man named Noah Morris (AKA Noah Landau) who worked on 60s Who....... (then moved to NZ and became an art teacher....(my art teacher in fact ,...years before i knew any Who was missing ) . and who sadly died a couple of years ago , despite me trying to track him down over the years (which wasnt helped by him having two surnames) (and thanks to David Creighton for tracking down the news of his death last year ) ive always thought Noah probably worked for Shawcraft , but he may have worked as an independant for Jack Kine at the BBC ...
but anyway for those that havent spotted it , that big hump that the Macra has is the roofline of the Morrie thou.....
Noah also had a picture of it driven up onto the bed of a flatbed truck for transport to the studio....
