Hello all - I bought a non-official looking Dr Feelgood DVD at a record fair last month. It included an episode of the Tyne Tees music show Geordie Scene taped at the time of the first Dr Feelgood LP (early 1975). I always loved Dr Feelgood but this was even better than I had expected, with a TOTP style crowd dancing all over the studio and the band really going for it - 100 % live! I've since come across parts of another Geordie Scene show on a Sweet compilation DVD, and a rather poor quality DVD of the episode with the Glitter Band. I was so excited by the Feelgood show I got in touch with Tyne Tees to ask if the series has been archived and if there are any plans for a rerun (even though I wouldn't be able to watch it in my country). The good news is that all the shows seem to be safe in the archives. The bad news is that there aren't any reruns planned. Does anybody know if the other Geordie Scene shows have at least made it to the collectors' circuit? Check the link below for a list of shows and the featured artists. A very interesting mix if you're into 70s UK pop/rock. ftvdb.bfi.org.uk/sift/series/20945

No need to buy a 'non-official looking Dr Feelgood DVD'. The recent Dr.Feelgood boxset 'All Through The City' contains the bands full performance from 'The Geordie Scene', but it's been edited slightly to remove the announcers links. Still looks incredible to have it in pristeen quality. Both The Sweet and Glitter Band appearances on 'The Geordie Scene' have been released in perfect quality via semi-official releases by the said bands fan clubs. The Mud show is the one I'd like to see the most, I believe it is on the collectors circuit. I haven't heard of any of the other shows circulating though.

I do remember some R&R group doing "Jungle Rock" a few years before it was a hit here, on Geordie Scene..

Was that the 'Jungle Rock' that reached no.3 here for Hank Mizell in '76? I think he first recorded it in '58.
