Having just re-watched "Spike" 1986 - Granada/C4, the very same clip "elephant" turns up here too.
Possibly worse quality because this doco is all-film and the clips from Q9 are re-recorded onto film (very good quality colour-TRs it has to be said).
Great doco, also with plenty of clips of "The Other Spike" (by Granada of course), made in 1970, with Spike talking about and re-enacting episodes of his mental illness.
So - the "elephant" sketch is the only colour bit of Q5 I've ever seen, or been released AFAIK.
Can anyone confirm whether this is from the colour Q5, or maybe an odd surviving film insert from another episode?
Certainly I've never heard of anyone here seeing a "VT" clip from Q5.

Always loved the theme tune, according to spike written to be as difficult to play as possible

I doubt if that single vt Q5 will ever see the light of day again. It features a sequence involving a coffin and the national anthem, which in the light or recent Royal events, would be in poor taste. How you do know that Andy? Have you seen it, or have a sketch listing by any chance? Thanx, S
