I recently did a search on 'Infax' regarding the Barry Letts produced childrens series (circa 1968 - 69) 'ADVENTURE WEEKLY'. The information seems to be in conflict with that published in the 'Kaleidoscope' guides from 1995 period.
INFAX stated 6 titles held; these appear to include 2 episodes stated by Kaleidoscope existing 'Into print' and 'the great treasure hunt'. I believe these were the first and last episodes.
INFAX stated 4 other titles not quoted by Kaleidoscope as existing. In addition it alledged a print of 'THE DIG' ' epsode 2'; written by Victor Pemberton existing. I recalled this best, also one of the best ones involving an elderly lady archeologist; from the time.
Episode 2 resolves the sinister cliffhanger of episode 1, which ended with a torch being shone into an excavated hole in a wall, revealing an old ladys face staring.
Kaleidoscope states; 'listings include material held in private collections in addition to companies'.
Does anyone know which listing is correct - Infax or Kal ?
Or could 'THE DIG' be held by a private source - maybe Vic Pemberton ?

The episodes that exist are as follows:
Into Print (untx'd pilot) Into Print (tx'd version) United Effort (held by the NFA) The Great Treasure Hunt The Siege (held by the NFA) Stop Press
All the others are missing. Incidentally, the series was produced by John McRae, Barry Letts just directed some episodes.

Intriguing, thanks Andrew; must chase up the query re: 'The dig'; possibly Chris Perry may be able to help ?

Checking the BBC Genome site I see several episodes listed that are not on the lost shows missing list

Where there stories that ran over 3 episodes and the rest stand alone episodes running circa 25 minutes
If this is a complete list, it would suggest that there are 7 episodes in existence ?
Anyone have any more info ?

I'm not really sure what you're querying Jeff. Your list from Genome includes two episodes (Explosion and Double Bluff) which are in the missing list that you also posted, and the other five are in the list of surviving episodes which Andrew Martin posted in 2006.
I don't remember the show, but from the listings there appear to have been both multi-part and stand-alone stories in the thirteen-episode series. As far as I'm aware, the archive situation hasn't changed, five different broadcast episodes survive along with an untransmitted pilot version of one of those five.

My mistake Simon - that's what happens when you're on a laptop late at night. Would be nice to see a dvd release of the remaining episodes as they seem to be stand alone episodes Had a great theme tune based on this piece of music www.youtube.com/watch?v=FPwqWgltUDo
