Is this new? "All negatives looks to be filmed off tv screen around 1960's?". No. He's been saying that since the first auction. I think this may be an elaboration on previous listings: "Please bare in mind these fan filmed off tv. I acquired them in a box from a keen cinephile couple years ago. According to his widow he filmed so much stuff from 50's, 60's and 70's." The first listing simply states: "Do not know origin of film so guessing someone has filmed these off tv. You can make out old tv in the film."

There's already a bite, with days to go. Might it reach four figures?

There's already a bite, with days to go. Might it reach four figures? Not a chance. Unless it's £10.99, which is probably what it's worth.

The same buyer bought the Hartnell and 10th Planet auctions and, from his feedback, seemed well satisfied, and quite willing to flash out the dosh for the remaining clips with the knowledge of what he'd received already. From this, are the two options that he is delusional and rich, or that the seller really was selling something that is unique and important to all of us on here? Also, if it is the second option, will we ever see this stuff in the future?

These sellers beggar belief, if anyone with half a brain & has been a Doctor Who fan for any serious amount of time would know all about the much lamented Restoration Team & the people involved with it, they would had they found something out with the internet, try & contact via PM, Steve Roberts, Paul Vanezis, Mark Ayres ,etc via social media with pictures!
Maybe Mr 16mm gets his "mates" to ghost bid & buy to make things look good?

Maybe Mr 16mm gets his "mates" to ghost bid & buy to make things look good? You're assuming that the seller is interested in returning the material more than they are interested in making a few quid. Remember that as a "fan community" we all know about the RT, but there are people with more casual interest who aren't on forums and who don't know about the Restoration Team.

Maybe Mr 16mm gets his "mates" to ghost bid & buy to make things look good? Provided he didn't have to pay ebay a % of the selling price. Actually, best not even suggest that there's been shill bidding.

Maybe Mr 16mm gets his "mates" to ghost bid & buy to make things look good? Presumably ... that's how a long con works. Make it look legit, with some demand. Then drop something like "Marco Polo" - and the revenue would well exceed the eBay fees.

My best guess is that there was a realisation that the more clips that just happen to be from existing episodes, the more the suspicion would grow especially as circa 38% of the 1960s episodes are missing. Indeed the seller may have received an increasing number of private messages to that effect. Hence now was the right time to sell the remainder as a job lot whilst it would still command a high price. Will be interesting to see what feedback the buyer leaves, when surely they'll smell a rat should none be from missing episodes ... if indeed that is the case.

I've been proven wrong already! www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Doctor-who-16mm/254759350657?hash=item3b50d73181:g:LnIAAOSwePdfldBM... but this is apparently the last. Listing also says "Will answer any questions but cannot tell if any are of missing episodes! Maybe but sold as collectors item for fans of Dr.Who!"

I don't quite get this, I have to say. Why would anyone telecine existing episodes? To pull a scam. All the pics the seller has put up come from existing episodes.

First three pics from the chase. Pic 5 is From Keys of Marinus Pic 7 is from the Chase Pic 8 is from Seeds of Death. Pic 4 maybe from Marinus. The only thing of interest seems to be be pic 6 of Troughton playing recorder. That could be from Underwater Menace 2. Not worth the price the guy is asking.
