Looking at it again, I wonder if this is actually from the Austrian 'Go Go Scope' show rather than French TV? It has a similar look, see videos below:
Wow, I LOVE both those clips! Very dynamic, pop arty and humorous! Love the 'With Obligatory Train' caption in the Bee Gees clip and the toilet seat directions at the end of the Equals one. Your book singles 'Go Go Scope' out for it's brilliant visuals and I can only agree! However also, for the above reasons, I'm pretty sure the Jeff Beck clip is NOT from 'Go Go Scope'. Although those 2 clips are filmed in similar watery locations, The Go Go Scope house style appears full of fast cuts and Pythonesque or Rowan and Martin's Laugh In style humour. The Jeff Beck clip while being filmed in a potentially exciting setting, is dull as dishwater direction wise in comparison. I can't see whatever inspired genius was behind the Go Go Scope stuff signing off on that.
