In 1993 The BBC experimented with TV using the Pulfich Effect.
Programmes included:- Tomorrows World The dreadful Dr Who Dimensions in Time
There is also a David Bellemy Top of The Pops and a Blue Peter episode. Is there links to those and are they in the archive? children in need available and in the archive.
I am particularly interested in a segment shot in 3d of Maypole dancing in Satffordshire, I believe in the village of Claverley.

Hi Marie. I still have my glasses somewhere. I recall watching Match of the Day (or something similar) while wearing them. Occasionally, the relative motion would make the Pulfrich effect work reasonably well.

I remember watching some of it with a friend, but off a video recording, but at times it worked well, especially when there was a lot of movement.

I have Children In Need 1993 recorded on VHS if the BBC doesn't have it (unlikely). However it sounds as if the segment you're interested in might be part of a regional opt out? They did do some 3D in the regions and my recording is north-east.
I think I've asked on here previously whether the regional sections of Children In Need are in the BBC archive? No one seems to know and there doesn't seem to be any interest. When, in fact, I would guess those are fairly likely to be lost. For example I've been told the BBC has very little of Mike Neville on Look North. I have recordings, either north-east or north-west from 1987 onwards. If the Beeb ever wants to get in touch it is most welcome to.
As well as the programmes listed above there was a Top of the Pops.

Thanks. I am after the Midlands region. I heard it was the first recording using this technique being as it was a May day event but only shown in November. I forgot to put TOTP and will update my post. I have Children In Need 1993 recorded on VHS if the BBC doesn't have it (unlikely).
