I'll start getting excited when I read something along the lines of "Plus a special treat for Sci-fi fans" in the entry for Missing Believed Wiped in the BFI's December booklet (as per 2011).

Phil even replied in the comment thread. Yes, that Phil. I'm not on Twitter Logan. What was 'that' Phil's reply? Phil was replying to a HopeAuq's reply (see below) rather than to Mark's original tweet. Paul Vanezis also made a comment about the good condition of the EoTW episodes.

HopeAuq @auq_hope · 28 Sep 2019 Replying to @markgatiss Sadly i think its all gone, they said Enemy was JUST salvageable and that was in 2012 and a Troughton anything like Marco Polo is likely deteriorated and unusable unless were very lucky Philip Morris @archives1963 Sorry I dont know were you get your information from but its completely incorrect. Being the person that recovered Enemy of the world I can assure you it was in great condition.

Two Asimov stories from Season One ( The Dead Past and Sucker Bait) have survived and were included in the DVD box-set, so I'd hope The Prophet could be cleared for release if it were ever found.

During one interview about his Jos recoveries, Phil did say that the 12 DW reel cans were in “pretty good condition.” But he also said “We arrived just in time. Any longer and we’d have had real problems recovering those programmes. We arrived absolutely in the nick of time.”
