I remember seeing a few years ago an entry somewhere mentioned on this forum that stated that the BBC2 theme night, "Docs On The Box", transmitted 9 June 1996, was entered as "Links Tape Missing". I've located my VHS off-air of that evening and am gearing up to capture it overnight (so all being well it will just be finishing when I get up for work in the morning It's a Long Play recording but in Hi-Fi Stereo and is going to be played back on a JVC deck with Digipure TBC and Dynamic Drum System, which will get it looking as good as VHS LP ever can. Does anyone think the BBC would be interested in a copy of this? I can't help thinking the master will have been located in the interim, or that the BBC decided it wasn't worth looking for anyway, being "just continuity"?

Not missing after all it turns out! Maybe it was just temporarily "filed for accessioning" 😏
