I'm with you on this one, Ed. One of the major things said about Troughton was how expressive he was. Those eyes, The inclinations of the head. Same too with Hartnell. Years of experience, judgment, and skill. Maybe, maybe, it will be possible sometime in the future, but I find it to be beyond my imagination. Think of what Hartnell does in, say, The Web Planet--those tiny gestures and tics, the chuckles and twinkling--in other words, what made him so special in the first place, It's why I dislike the animations. To me, (I've not seen them all!) they look like mockery of the great actors they seek to represent. So, please, someone, take this as a challenge and prove me wrong, because I do really wish to see Marco Polo and Evil of the Daleks ago before I shuffle off this mortal coil.
