Evening all,
Just thought I'd put to the forum a question or two about Vision On and its Francophone version Declic - it seems there's very little information out there.
Some of the Declic versions have become visible on the Internet of late (fantastic to see them again, and I think I now understand why many of us of a certain age grew up a bit mad!) and I was wondering one or two things about them. One of them has a VT clock that would make it appear that the alternative bits where French language was needed, such as the theme of the week animation and the Burbles' speech balloons, were done at Bristol alongside the English-language programmes. Am I correct in this assumption?
Interestingly the VT clock in question states 'Declic 3 (Vision On 6) suggesting not all the episodes may have been made available in French, or didn't match the UK running order, so my second question would be is there a list of which episodes comprised the Declic series?
And thirdly, are the French-language versions among the BBC holdings of the series?
For those that are interested: It seems that the editing process usually removed Pat Keysell's introductions to camera and always removed the Gallery. The earliest Declic edition I've encountered is 'Hair' and the latest the penultimate edition 'Hard and Soft'
Thanks! Jim
