And Tommy Trinder manages to tell a genuinely funny joke. Customers he's washed for now are in bad humours They feel quite neglected and I've heard the rumours Lots of girls on winter nights go out without their garters 'Cos Mr. Wu's a window cleaner now. genius.com/George-formby-mr-wus-a-window-cleaner-now-lyrics

In the Clip at the beginning Johnny Hamp says from our (Granada) first week of transmission...
Granada Television first night of transmission was Thursday 3 May 1956.
The TV Times edition page Johnny Hamp shows is for Tuesday 8 May 1956, as Calvacade of Sport at 8 pm,followed My Wildest Dream, not only for Granada, but also the Midlands too.
In the clip, the host sitting next to the girl contestant is definitely the first host Kenneth McLeod, who was also an actor who juggled his time between Granada Television in Manchester and Associated-Rediffusion in London.
My Wildest Dream: One of Granada TV's first gameshows and possibly the first transition of any programme from the BBC to ITV.
The shows were recorded in an afternoon. The studio challengers were paid £5 and expenses for appearing on the programme.
Hosts: Kenneth MacLeod May to September 1956 Roy Rich September to December 1956 Paul Carpenter 1957
Regular Panellists: T Trinder, D Nixon, A Marks, Terry-Thomas. Eddie Gray replaced D Nixon in the 1957 series.
