Yes, i guess a high number of clips shown are widely available. Pardon my ignorance! Top of the pops Nov '69 and May '72 segments were the wholly new finds. Possibly New Musik on Swap Shop in 1981 as well?
Those who didn't attend the event may be pleased to know that both the Elton John and T Rex clips survived in full and both with full introductions from Tony Blackburn.
Fleetwood Mac, given the extreme paucity of latter 1969 top of the pops, was an incredible find. There was a post that declared Sweet Dream to be a different performance though it looked very similar. I would be grateful if anyone could tell me for certain how many clips from the show from the 2nd half of '69 that would now make. I'd say 10 from 10th July to 25th Dec?
It was good to see Bowie take his place, of sorts, on that edition, his image cropping up in the top 10 rundown to Sugar Sugar and prompting a good cheer from the audience.
