The BBC made promo for Rod/Faces You Can Make Me Dance Sing Anything has emerged in full on You Tube. Originally broadcast on TOTP 12 December 74 and 9 January 75 in black and white and cut short, the promo on YT is in colour and complete timing in at 6:03. This is a major find, the promo hasn't seen the light of day since a short clip was shown at the end of Pop Quiz in the late eighties and the performance is widely listed as wiped/missing. The unlikely source is Vintage TV. Here's the link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ik6zlZchNyA&feature=share&fbclid=IwAR3DPo7dJpGf6zIlEHYwrRILIsMiDy-9dxOsmQBcBXVFkoUHFPipWFV2h8EAnother Faces TOTP performance always listed as wiped is Stay With Me which has never been missing - the performance was an insert from the soon to come Sounds For Saturday.

Nice find, despite the wrong aspect ratio! I knew this survived (and listed it as such in 'Look Wot They Dun!'), but hadn't seen the complete video before.

Nice find, despite the wrong aspect ratio! Worth pointing out that if you have VLC Media Player installed you can easily watch messed-up YT uploads like this in the correct aspect ratio by going to "open network stream...", pasting in the youtube url, and then setting the correct aspect ratio in VLC via Video -> Aspect Ratio (16:9 is correct in this case as it's been wrongly squeezed, although with other videos it's often the opposite problem whereby it's wrongly stretched and you need to select 4:3 instead.) Either way it only takes about ten seconds to do and makes all the difference. But yeah the video is a nice find

Nice tip, thanks! I do know how to change the AR when I download, but obviously I don't always want to do that.

Saw The Faces a couple of times and the band were well lubricated on both occasions .This led to a dip in the quality of the playing but was made up for by the full on good time rock n roll atmosphere they created.
I wonder if many people under 40 can picture Rod Stewart as an out and out rocker?
