I have read a lot of history from the 70s to 90s of what people like Paul Vanezis, Ian Levine and many others did to get/find missing doctor who episodes which is easy to check and read about online and on the book ¨Wiped!¨, but when it comes to Philip Morris I can't seem to find much information of which places he has checked/been etc. For example I defently know that he has been in Nigeria (heard that a lot) and Zambia + Sierra Leone, but thats what I can find. I'm trying to make a ¨Checklist¨ of areas that Phil has been in. There is a lot of places where Doctor Who was sold to in the 60s thats interesting, but I can't find a complete list of where Phil has been checking. My question here is has Phil been to: Australia Ethiopia Germany Hong Kong Jamaica Singapore Thailand ? If you know if he's been or not been to these locations has then gladly tell me, if this thread is seemed as ¨breaking the rules¨ or ¨asked before¨. Then gladly remove it. He is keeping details quiet until the end of his search. There's still things going on and still more recoveries to announce, giving out every last detail now may risk other recoveries in future.
He'll give a few details here and there, but he's keeping a lot secret for now. Even then, if he has been to [insert country here] that doesn't really count for much. He'd already been to Sierra Leone nearly a decade ago, then got called back ih early 2018 with a tip off that led to a few comedy shows being found.

Considering that he first located Web and Enemy in late 2011 - more than seven years ago - and he started several years before that, there can’t be many places still to visit.

I don't speak from any inside knowledge, but getting permissions etc could surely be very time consuming? There must also be quite a few countries to search for missing material other than just who. Personally, I am hoping for a book one day that will break the whole story down Maybe even a documentary? Either would be good. I will sit tight until then and wait for an announcement that the work is done

I don't think his travel log will really indicate what's checked or not. For example, We don't know for sure if Nigeria is exhausted or not. I always assumed (you know what they say about that) PM has a prioritized list of places to check or work on (I imagine he has plenty of groundwork to do just to gain access--for all we know there could be broadcasters who simply won't deal with Tiea), but has to divert to other areas when services are requested, and also might have to keep changing strategies as new information and leads are unearthed. He's keeping his cards close to his chest, as he should with a project of this nature. It might be a long time until this project is complete, and might never be completed. I wouldn't hold my breath for full disclosure. The scope of his work is massive, the planet is large when you consider one team checking almost countless cans one at a time. The only real sway to create a list would be to scour all his interviews for clues. He did say *most* places that had official sales have been checked, but official paperwork isn't always correct. I know this view is not universally shared as PM's remit is not collectors, but if he aquire a lead that out of contract material was passed to or ended up in private hands,I believe he would pursue it. Not just DW items, but anything of cultural value. Don't forget digging in the desert, I doubt literal excavation was in tiea's remit either I can see his work continuing for decades to come.

Its more for a ¨History¨ purposes then counting where he has or has not been, i love reading the history of when Ian Levine, Paul Vanezis and others found missing content and saved content from being destroyed in the 70s-90s. Thing about Philip Morris is that reading about his discoveries and travels is difficult since he's so secretive, which is why I wanted to make a check list of areas he has been with dates.

I was totin' my pack along the dusty Winnemucca road, When along came a semi with a high and canvas-covered load. "If you're goin' to Winnemucca, Mack, with me you can ride." And so I climbed into the cab and then I settled down inside. He asked me if I'd seen a road with so much dust and sand. And I said, "Listen, I've traveled every road in this here land!"
I've been everywhere, man. I've been everywhere, man. Crossed the deserts bare, man. I've breathed the mountain air, man. Of travel I've a-had my share, man. I've been everywhere.
I've been to Reno, Chicago, Fargo, Minnesota, Buffalo, Toronto, Winslow, Sarasota, Wichita, Tulsa, Ottawa, Oklahoma, Tampa, Panama, Mattawa, La Paloma, Bangor, Baltimore, Salvador, Amarillo, Tocopilla, Barranquilla, and Padilla, I'm a killer.
Etc. Etc. Etc.

I have some bad news. Went forward a hundred years in my time machine the other day. Still 97 episodes missing. Just got back before the wretched thing blew up. Kicking myself that I didn't think to go back to the 60's to record the episodes. Sorry guys.

A few years ago we said that there was a number [N] which at the time was somewhere between 0 and 96 [when web 3 was known to exist] which was the actual number of missing episodes, ie not laying in a dust layer in some far away place, or in private hands, or waiting to be returned etc. it would be nice to know the number N is at least ?, where episodes in the 97 are known to exist. But not who has them or where they are or what they are to keep the owners anonymity
