Let's hope that Whistle Test Archive resurfaces on Vimeo.. it has more going for it than YouTube IMHO and it's not owned by Google, always a bonus! Let us know if you spot it please Kev

I got dogs abuse off some guy Gary Jordan (I know of him but not enough to care). He basically blamed me for being responsible for getting that amazing channel removed by posting here??!! I knew the person running the page. We got on great but that other thing jumped in saying "I hate you tossers on Missing Episodes....blah blah blah. Do you not know the BBC read those forums you fool"
I just said "Look mate if operation yew tree see your YouTube channel you'll be in the home for nonces sewing mailbags". He blocked me then but I just removed the comments anyway. I couldn't find out how to delete the thread? Can you not delete a thread here?

It's almost a badge of honour amongst collectors of rare video footage! Don't let him get to you. I love this forum! So many knowledgeable, passionate and (largely) friendly people.

I see he's ranting at me now. He is obviously a good researcher, I really don't understand why he feels the need to act like this.

He also doesn't allow comments on his videos and he rants about people in the descriptions. I was going to send him a message on youtube the other day but I thought better to not.
I don't think the BBC goes through this forum to find things to remove. I think I'm safe in saying thats never happened. I have seen some pretty desirable things get posted here first and they were up for years. Whoever is trolling these forums for the beeb is not the type to care that a video is up I would think. The BBC didn't take down the OGWT channel, the uploader did. He uploaded too many things that were caught by the algorithm or were removed by a third party. A few episodes that got uploaded and removed were Stones related things etc. Not hard to see them getting taken down.

There are certain acts that are likely to get youtube channels closed down if there's videos of them on there (The Sweet and Bob Dylan are two that spring to mind), also certain shows (The Ed Sullivan Show, and most things from Channel 4, in particular The Tube). The BBC don't seem all that fussed, and neither do many big name acts (The Beatles and Queen seem fine, as are most post-60s clips by The Rolling Stones). Sometimes the most unlikely things get removed, and have nothing to do with the artists (I recently had videos by both Brian Poole and The Tremeloes and The Merseybeats removed), ditto some things automatically get blocked world-wide on uploading (that happened to me twice yesterday, on videos by Chicory Tip and Middle Of The Road, again unlikely names).
