Not quite as exciting as the title may suggest, but with performances from local lad Alan Price, the folksy Foggy Dew-O and miniskirted ukulele maestro Wendy King, this is a rare glimpse of night life at The Club Fiesta in glittering downtown Stockton. It's little more than a beauty contest with musical filler and Norman Vaughan's comedy material is best viewed through your fingers, but a nice period piece nonetheless...

Quite so, John. Some genuine tumbleweed moments.
Actually I think despite being billed as 'The Ukulele Girl' (and also issuing an LP of that name) Wendy King's instrument of choice is a banjolele. Not that I'm any kind of expert in such matters....

A snapshot of life (& TV) of the time. The Club Fiesta was a very popular venue.

Steve Interestingly, this appears to have been recorded the day before Foggy Dew-O's appearance on Colour Me Pop was taped (although it wasn't broadcast till 9th November 1968).

Here,he sings I'm the Ukuklele Man www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfdW87Xx1Z0 accompanying himself on the banjolele!
