Anyone know the date / location of this great clip? It was broadcast on German TV:

Thanks Kev, great!
I haven't found a broadcast date yet, but I have found some more footage (curiously part black and white and part colour):

I've seen the first episode from that series, and that episode has the Rod Stewart and The Who, which were unique clips. The Procol Harum and Hendrix clips are from Beat Club. The Beatles is all newsreel footage, and the Mick Jagger interview seems to be the same one from "Rock City". The rest of it are all talking heads.
