Thanks for posting this Peter thoroughly enjoyed reading it I've never been to any of these "SIXTIES GOLD" concerts myself but know many people that have and they all say they are very good although some are better than others. I have always been put off by the fact that not many of the original members are still around but I'll have to get out there and take a look.

It does depend on the act of course. The Merseybeats are led by the two founder members (and even the bass player has been there since 1974), and of course people like Brian Poole, Steve Ellis, Mike Pender and P.J. Proby are still themselves, and still sound good too. They won't be around for ever, so see them while you can.

The band members are invigorated by what they do. They have the benefit of playing live for a living, and not having the downsides of fame that superstars may have. A good review, Peter
