This was a repeat showing of a performance from earlier in the year when the record had slipped down from the #1 position. I recall the presenter (Savile as I remember it) explained that, as the BBC had flown them over from the States, they were going to include it in the line up anyway.
My own opinion is the guy may have been a bit over enthusiastic in the Green Room before filming.
