Hello All,
I have heard that two episodes of Till Death had been recovered, but also read this from one Mr. Finklestone...
Thu Aug 1 18:37:04 2002 62.31.144.1 >"The Phone" and "Aunt Maud" have been recovered from Martin Loach's off-air domestic video recordings.< I think it all depeands on your definition of "recovered". They are known to exist, sure, and there are camera copies. However, as I understand it, proper digital conversions to 625 lines (which should be entirely possible) are being problematic. The main problem is the scarcity of Peto-Scott recorders in good condition where the owner is happy to let an engineer "modify" them for the transfer.
.......is there any more news, or does anyone know the exact situation? Also what is the situation wiyh "Up The Polls"? Does all of this exist or not?
A more detailed guide to what exists generally, and on what format (including maybe soundtracks), would be lovely if anyone can manage it.
Steve.

A further episode has been handed back since then (1st) - this came directly to the BBC by a donor who wishes to remain unknown.
Up the Polls was recovered by Terry Martini (BVWS), who spent ages extracting a good copy. I spoke to Terry about this and he was very pleased to have saved this.
Martin Loach also was over the moon about his recoveries. Though I don't think any further work has been carried out on these.
