I've been long trying to find someone who watched an episode of Heartbeat back in 1996. I've got two problems: 1)finding someone who watched Heartbeat regularly at that time and 2)Someone who is able to remember the episode I'm interested in.
It is Heartbeat, Season 6 episode 7 (13 October 1996): Snapped.
If anyone watched the episode or knows of a website where there is detailed information about it please answer.
Thanks!!

Yes, that's right, sorry. I need information about the plot and specially the part of a guest star who played a character called "Mrs McInver" in that episode of Heartbeat: how she looked like, her role...
If anyone remembers the episode or knows of any web page where I can find anything, just answer please.
Thanks!!

Yes, some sites in the internet say Mrs McInver was played by Prunella Ransome. The problem is that she retired in the early 80s, so I doubt it is the same person. There may be a mistake. I would want to ask someone who saw the episode if it was Ransome who played the character.
I have read about that series with John Gregson in the IMDb. I'm not from Britain, was he a popular actor there when he was alive?

Anyone has TV Times issues from October 1996?, maybe there's something about the episode of Heartbeat in any issue of the magazine.
About John Gregson and Prunella Ransome's series, there's nothing in the internet. Anyone knows something about the plot? If Gregson was popular there should be something about it. No comments of anyone who watched the series, no web page even mentioning "Dangerous Knowledge".
I suppose TV Times of may-june 1976 may say something about it, but if it is hard to find people who still have 1996 issues, better not asking for 1976 ones.
Anyway, if anybody knows somethign please reply
Thanks!

Thanks for that information!
I see her name is in the cast list, but anyway I still find it strange. Not working for nearly 15 years and suddenly appering in Heartbeat. I'm not from Britain and I have never seen that series, but is it so good or well-known to make retired actors come back?

I wonder why an actress would choose this series and not another for coming back. I suppose Prunella Ransome would have been able to work in other TV series in 15 years, but she chose this one.
Is it a good series? I mean good screeplays, expensive production?

Is it a good series? I mean good screeplays, expensive production? Its not an expensive series but its well done considering it is set in the 1960s and a lot of the budget must go on finding 1960s stuff like cars etc ?. Its set in a small town in the country, with most of the action being centred around the very small police station and the police dealing with the various bad guys who come to the area. Its long running and maybe more like a soap these days? and with all long running serials some of the episodes can be a bit lightweight with the actors chewing the scenery, but on the whole its quite digestible and nostalgic Sunday evening fayre.

In this 'Heartbeat' episode Prunella, to me, does not look very well, lost a lot of weight. Maybe that's why she stopped after this. She sadly passed away from throat cancer in 2002. I don't know how long she had the cancer but ill health could have been ongoing from this period of her life.
