Unfortunately it also appears that the b&w copy of 'Come Dancing' exists as 1" dub made from the film print when it was recovered in 1988, therefore making colour recovery impossible. The only lead from this, is the possibility that the BBC Enterprise film prints are still around in Australia, the plot thickens.

Interesting the shots of Graeme and Bill in the end credits are different between the two. Anyone know the reason why? Was one dubbed from an earlier edit?

It seems like the BBC Scotland colour tape ended before the rest of the shots were included from the end credits, or that part of the tape might have been damaged, resulting in Network Distributing simply reusing a shot from the beginning of the episode.

I'd love to see "Caught in the Act" in colour, it's a charming bit of old-fashioned naughtiness. I'll donate if it comes to that.

It's been talked about on Facebook for a few years that Phil Morris claims to have episodes of the Goodies he's found. Not sure if there would be better copies of the three mentioned but if I recall he said he has several including more than one copy of Kitten Kong which could be the missing episode but he said he has not checked. No idea why he has'nt given them back yet but he himself said he has them.
I just went back and found the conversation on Facebook, to give you some idea it was started four years ago and Phil says he has both a 71 version and 72 version of Kitten Kong. Last update was 11 weeks ago and he said he still has'nt checked them!!

Did Phil Morris happen to find these episodes in Australia, the source for the earlier discoveries. For any restoration to be made possible in future we would need 16mm TR's of the following episodes.
SE2, EP2 'Commonwealth Games' [Transferred to "1 VT in '86, film print now missing] SE2, EP7 'Kitten Kong' [Missing] SE2, EP8 'Come Dancing' [Transferred to "1 VT in '86, film print now missing]
All three episodes were exported as TR copies for distribution in Australia, and at least two of these 'missing' episodes were known to be existence, as VT transfers were made back in 1986 by an employee at Channel 7 who happened to be a Goodies fan, who subsequently returned these copies to the BBC. The last known showing of the original 'Kitten Kong' was in 1980 from some accounts, which wasn't among the 1986 discoveries.

He just said he had Kitten Kong on both a 71 edit and 72 and other episodes all on 16mm. He did'nt say which others he has though. He also still has not verified he has the missing verion of Kitten Kong but seems possible if he has a 71 edit. It looks like he would just return them so they could be checked but who knows.

Would it be worth talking to Phil further, to see if he has any knowledge about these now missing film prints which were transferred in 1986?

Would it be worth talking to Phil further, to see if he has any knowledge about these now missing film prints which were transferred in 1986? I wouldn’t believe a thing Phil Morris says. He’s an attention seeker. He has no Doctor Who and he has no Goodies

Would it be worth talking to Phil further, to see if he has any knowledge about these now missing film prints which were transferred in 1986? No clue if it would do any good or not. I'm not trying to start any Phil bashing but just stating what he said and there has been no further word. It was recently after he returned the 9 comedy shows so I think he was being a little more open for a short while about what he had. I had asked him about Basil Brush that if he found two copies of the same missing episode does that mean he found more missing Basil Brush and he told me yes he has more. There has been no more word on anything since then. I believe Paul Vanezis had stated more returns were planned in 2019 but other than the one print with the Scaffold there has been nothing since? When he's been asked since a few time about the Goodies he just keeps saying he is busy and has not had time to check them.
