Quite a bit of the unedited master of an edition of early '70s children's programme Junior Showtime (with fluffs and retakes) turned up on the end of a tape at Yorkshire TV . As nothing else of usual broadcastable quality existed of this show, some of this material has been used for clip show purposes.

Ah, that's a mystery solved anyway! I knew that nothing was supposed to survive proper of the show but quite clearly a few clips have turned up. When was this part-studio tape unearthed then? From what you say, I take it that a few domestic videos of TX editions may survive?
Whatever happened to Bobby Bennett?!

"When was this part-studio tape unearthed then?"
Just a few years ago, I think. I think a clip was used on 100 Best Children's.
"From what you say, I take it that a few domestic videos of TX editions may survive?"
Two editions survive at Yorkshire TV but in poor quality (wasn't a brief extract of one of these shown on that 100 Moments of TV Hell thing?), and about an hour of clips from wiped episodes from the early Seventies survive at the Bfi home-taped by a fan. These include lengthy extracts from a Christmas pantomime special featuring early TV starring roles for Little and Large.
"Whatever happened to Bobby Bennett?!"
I think he does cabaret abroad. What happened to Glyn Poole?
We know what happened to Bonnie Langford and Mark Currie.

the same is also true of the home video mentioned by Laurence, wasn't a bit of Till death.. found at the end of another domestis recording? with these there is also the added complication that the recording and clip may be of different standards .. a 625 recorded over a 405line recording etc requiring 2 machines to play both(unless you have a fancy duel standard recorder)
