I for one, am pleased that these smaller events are popping up again. The big events became impersonal, expensive and lacking atmosphere. I went to The Capitol last year and it was great. Low key, guests were accessible and there was a sense of fun about it all. And, I think the guests (well some of them) enjoy that. And yes, charging for autographs. I have no real issue about that and I choose carefully who I want as I do have a limit. Some of the bigger events now are hyper expensive. Sigourney Weaver, for example, was an eye watering £95 and more if you wanted to have a photo with her. The big events have become greedy. The last one I was at had far too many people in it and all you could do was shuffle around. They even closed off the stairs as too many people were there. Health and safety nightmare.
