Are any omnibus Pertwee repeats from the seventies missing that if found could replace restoration colour for original colour thanks The omnibus for his last season was, iirc, Spiders.

The only ones to be of benefit would be The Daemons and The Sea Devils.

The only ones to be of benefit would be The Daemons and The Sea Devils. The Sea Devils has pretty good picture quality although you can tell which episodes went through Reverse Standards Conversion. With the advances in things like Digital Noise Reduction together with the other goodies in the RT's bag of tricks they could probably get those very close to PAL standard.

The restoration of The Daemons is incredible on the DVD,especially if you watch the Tomorrow's World feature first. Stunning quality to virtually broadcast standard. Absolutely amazing.

Pesonally I was a little disappointed with the Daemons:-( However, I am registered as partially sighted so it could be me !

I'd love for more PAL Pertwee material to be found, as lucky as we are with the fantastic restoration done on this era, any upgrades to the original format would be so welcome.
Is there a list anywhere of what was cut from the omnibus versions of The Daemons and The Sea Devils?

I think at Least the Sea Devils was shown in a Test Match, when it was raining for the afternoon session, but i.m sure that would have been pulled of the shelf, rather than be in the Sport footage, unless it was recorded with the live cricket action that day. It was a lot better than the Test Card for an Hour and a Half.

It was a lot better than the Test Card for an Hour and a Half. It was the cricket, but it was actually down to industrial action which prevented the Roses match between Yorkshire and Lancashire at Headingly from being shown. It wasn't a last minute thing though, as the repeat was advertised after the broadcast of Episode 4 of 'Planet of the Spiders' on the Saturday before.

Thanks Richard
I was only a 12 year old so knew it was on, as i watched the cricket as well [but normally only the Tests]. Im sure there were other showings too, as later on when i had recorders, often a Mission Impossible or Star Trek would show at little notice to the viewer so had to be ready on the record button. Im not sure all the extras are documented, it would be interesting to see a list of them.

I've recently reconstructed the missing omnibus version of The Sea Devils based on 1973 audio recording. It works well.
