Someone from a Doctor Who Facebook group messaged the seller who's admitted that it's a fake and has no intention of letting anyone buy it. He simply did it (so he says) to annoy Ian Levine and have a bit of fun.

It seems a bit stupid though for someone who has been on ebay since 2006 and sells with 100% feedback to do this. No way would I wouldn't risk my 100% feedback just to annoy someone. It would be a case of cutting my nose off to spite my face. Just doesn't add up.
Having said that, looking at their feedback, it includes sales of classic Doctor Who on VHS, so no stranger to the old series. So the seller would probably be well aware of this episode's archive status.

If the seller - as is likely - cancels the auction before the end date then it will have no impact whatsoever on his feedback rating. The only people who can leave feedback are winning bidders or sellers.

The projector was sold last week at a car boot sale? That's ever so convenient

Now @ £666 after 22 bids...
He/she has 207 positives/points,and says ebay won't allow the listing subject to be changed.Shame he/she sold his/her projector (at a car-boot sale, not on ebay,so you can't check) last week.His/her "notes" (shades of Sherlock Holmes) state that it's episode 4.So the title of this thread is truer than ever.
