The Supremes On Cilla Black Show

I've been looking for a clip of The Supremes 'Nathan Jones' and according to this picture and info they performed it on the Cilla Black show in 1971 does anyone know if this clip exists anywhere it's the first b/w photo on the 2nd row thanks for any help.

the BFI only has one episode of Cilla 1971 listed as a filmographic record which they also have a holding for
and that is the episode for 20 November 1971, which was recorded at the concert hall of SF Berlin.

The 13 November edition containing The Supremes may therefore be a Missing Episode, difficult to say
if it does not come up on Lost Shows as you say Alan, perhaps someone can check with Kaleidoscope
to confirm that is it a Missing Episode?

Thanks for the info William i have know idea what the survival rate of Cilla shows is,i would imagine a few survive but not many i don't know if the Supremes performed this song on any other show other than Cilla or Totps i would have thought that they would have done somewhere in the u.s maybe Soul Train etc etc, i wonder if there's any info in your music mags William just a thought.

I believe The Supremes were on The Flip Wilson show a couple of times around 1971 so they may of performed 'Nathan Jones'on that show.

I had a look at the NME...the Disc and Music Echo and the Melody Maker for the 13th Nov 1971 period and none of the music papers mentioned anything about The Supremes due to be on any other TV show apart from Cilla (13/11/71) and Top of the Pops (04/11/71) and (02/12/71)

The NME dated the 20th Nov 1971 mentioned (only two minutes for Supremes on Saturday's BBC TV Cilla Black show)

Ok thanks for looking William i also checked the episode guide to the u.s Flip Wilson show where they seemed to appear at least a couple of times around that period, all the performences seem to be on youtube from that show but none unfortunately are 'Nathan Jones',they were not on Soul Train either until around 73 so no joy there so it looks almost certain that as far as uk shows are concerned Cilla and Totp's were the only shows where this song was shown and even Totp's i believe was only the crowd dancing to the disc thanks again William.

I've edited my post to actually provide the 'Supremes' link!

It's sometimes possible to sneak up on Lostshows listings by searching for either a known guest,or any possible part of the description/listing e.g. 'with Des' gives dozens of results:
www.lostshows.com/default.aspx?search=supremes (though a couple of them are actually 'with Design' or 'with Destiny') while 'Des' gives only one www.lostshows.com/default.aspx?search=des

'Des O'Connor' has too many results for Lostshows to list.

Peculiarly,searching for one word often gives fewer results than when you combine it with another/others.

'Lost' gives: www.lostshows.com/default.aspx?search=lost ( 11 results),while 'lost in' gives: www.lostshows.com/default.aspx?search=lost+in (23 results).So if you're searching for a show called TRAVELLERS' TALES: Land Of The Lost - The Lost Indians (04.09.59),but can only remember that it's got the word 'lost' in it,you're out of luck. (It turns up under the 'lost in' search because of 'Lost Indians'!).

Alan, no, they did not sing "Nathan Jones" on Soul Train or the Flip Wilson show. So far in America, I think the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson is the only one. Joe Namath was guest host, and the footage no longer exists, I do have the audio of it, however.
