Hi. Was browsing an old thread on here from 2008 where something was mentioned I'd not heard about before...
Apparently, people remembered hearing about an article that appeared in a 1960s 8mm enthusiasts magazine about a chap who'd recorded TV shows. Apparently, the story he demonstrated was Wheel in Space episode 4.
Anyone know anything about this one? I'd not heard it before.

Yes, this was covered in Issue 3 of Nothing at the End of the Lane.
Peter Dean, who took the film, said that they only had a tiny office when he was working on 8mm Magazine, so images and test footage would be thrown away after publication as they simply didn't have the room to store it all. Peter had only recently digitized his cine collection and was able to confirm that the off-screen footage from Wheel was no longer in existence.

And the frame used to illustrate the article is, as far as I can tell, a near exact replica of an existing tele snap from that episode.
