It baffles me to this day why such an extraordinary offering was so bereft of the material it deserved. The iTunes releases were simultaneous nearly everywhere, and it brought many of us a lot of happiness to enjoy it at the same time. (Even if a few nutters like yours truly watched them at a rate of one ep a week!) But the DVDs - how many of us would have really cared if it took an extra six months, or more, if the job was done properly? Yes, a little something on the last one was better than nothing - but there's a lot to be said and a lot worth hearing from those best placed to talk about Enemy and Web. And those start with the people who made them! Happily, a corrective is now at hand: www.fantomfilms.co.uk/whotalk/main.htmIf there's ever any more finds of this magnitude, it'd be a right nuisance to suppose that we're going to have to keep it all piecemeal like this. Yes, the old DVD run spoiled us. Yes, we get better than many other genre shows - or shows in general, and near as I understand, that includes the current era releases. And yes, I'm glad someone has made the effort to provide some of the material that ought to have been on the DVDs in the first place! But a dribs and drabs output is very far from ideal! Huh - just noticed there's no Frazer Hines on either of them. Debbie but no Frazer? Why? Really, why???

While I am glad that these are being done this seems to be a glorified fan project. The fact that no BBC material is being used proves that it is not an official release. Still I will buy the CDs of these and add them to my collection. I would have hoped for some kind of Restoration Team Produced extras on a single DVD for both story's but a commentary is a step in the right direction.

Found Missing Episodes Missing Commentaries Found! Other Extras, Hines Commentary, Still Missing! The asking price is more than the DVDs themselves now. I'm sympathetic to the forces involved, but I really think this is not going to sell anywhere near as well as the stories did. And that's sad because I'm pretty sure they'll be worth the listen!

I did notice the price in Pounds Sterling is rather high for two CD sets. I will probably wait for the sales before I pick them up. But these should have been on the DVD to begin with. I give them credit for the initiate idea though, I wonder if this will lead to some more video or audio interview with people involved with the older story's be them missing or not

I agree with you Robert - there's folks like us who care these memories are being recorded for posterity. But the impulse buyers who've been excited by the media coverage of the finds, even if they were very pleased by Enemy and Web are not going to plonk down that kind of cash again, twice over, for third party CDs. If we ever see video extras like we're used to, for those two Season 5 gems, I don't think the economics are going to stack up. The Underwater Menace, although tremendous to finally see a release for, and with extras, is rather steeper than Enemy or Web, and it's not even a complete story. Again, I question the viability of this pricing approach to what is undoubtedly niche material. And as a last hurrah for the much loved range, it's a bit unfortunate to call time on the run in this way.

I would love to see some special DVDs produced doing Restoration Type features for some of the lost story's such as The Faceless Ones or The Abominable Snowman where they go and do some of those Now and Then type features as well as perhaps the photo Gallery of all the pictures taken for those story's as well. The problem if its in independent production they cant use BBC material with out paying a fee for the pictures of clips from missing episodes . Still any one with a video camera and a computer can sit down in an apartment or flat and record an interview with members of the cast and crew.
Still its a great idea reminds me of the Myth Makers VHS releases of the 80's and 90's for those around when they were being produced.
