Shame because I don't want to have to buy a Blu-Ray player just to watch this, but I want the book. I was hoping the 1+ was available in both formats. Treat yourself to one of these---> Bluray RecorderSo many people with HD televisions watching standard definition DVDs I'm guilty of that until I bought a Blu-Ray Player, though I've only bought 3 discs so far, 1 being Spearhead From Space.

I remember watching that Dr. Who in January 1970 and it scared the s**t out of me

Some of us have to be careful with our money. 1+ would be a treat but only if I can watch it.

Blu-Ray players will play standard DVDs.. so no need to replace the entire collection if one buys a new player for a few Blu-Ray discs.

yeah and after you all get your blu ray players ANOTHER new formula will no doubt appear putting blu ray to shame and you will all be chasing after those...until the NEXT format appears....and so on...
if people are happy with the format they have good for them !

If we all had that attitude we'd still be cavemen. I still use a valve amp and early 60s Quad speakers, not to mention my 1939 Murphy Wirless and 1963 GEC 405 line TV as well as all the modern stuff, now where did I hang my club & animal skin?

I agree with your second sentence, but the first seems to be taking a rather Luddite stance to my suggestion. We're not all format slaves - far from it in fact - just happy to have equipment that plays what we want to purchase as well as other discs we may already have. Some people could start an argument in an empty house!

Oh good grief... The point ACTUALLY being that whilst I would LOVE to buy a Blu-Ray player and all the benefits it brings, I can't justify the expense. Congrats to all those who never have to worry about that, but does it really make you feel so big to lecture people who simply want the option of buying the package in a format they can already play? Good grief.

What's interesting is that Apple claim not to have elements of certain songs, and had approached several US collectors for better prints than they had in their archive. Obviously, some collectors have access to the outtakes too as has been evidenced in recent months, and overnight as in the below youtu.be/7K_dPY1Z_Uc

Amazon price is now £32.99, anyone know what the aspect ratio is? All the clips posted on the official Beatles YouTube channel show the restored videos in their original aspect ratio so It looks like all 50 videos on the deluxe edition will be in 4:3, with just the menus and bonus featurettes in 16:9 Restoration of The Beatles 1 Video Collection
