All three series that you mention are actually Welsh productions. I'm fairly confident that all 12 episodes of Joshua Jones exists as they were released on DVD in Australia. Wil Cwac Cwac is currently available on DVD but only in the original Welsh language version. The were 2 English language versions made. The original had narration by Myfanwy Talog (who also narrates the Welsh version)and there was a later overdub by Liza Ross for the US market where it aired on The Disney Channel. Sam Tân (Fireman Sam) is still going today and the Welsh language discs are still big sellers here. As it airs in over 40 countries I'm pretty certain that nothing's missing there. On the subject of Welsh Language childrens programming we can't forget the magnificent SuperTed.

Thanks,Tom.Given how much Welsh-language telly is missing,it's to be hoped that all these are OK-especially as they're such great series. For a moment,I thought that you were going to say that MT versions had been withdrawn on request.

One I would be interested in was called Fynny Fana. In Liverpool we could just about get HTV and as a 16-17 year old clever dick I was quite interested in foreign languages. This programme was on Tuesday [?] just after I got home from school. I remember one of the presenters was Eluned [forget surname] and another was Tarran [forget surname]. Can anyone fill in more detail?

Anyone remember Joni Jones? The pilot 'when pigs can fly' was shown on channel 4 as part of a St.david's day night in 1985 & the series was shown peak time on BBC2 the following year.
