For those who may not have seen it there is a fascinating Q&A with BBC Archivist Sue Malden on Facebook and also www.doctorwhonews.net today. www.facebook.com/groups/646394605395870/Hope the link works. She answers many open queries about where things went and where they failed to return. Sounds like Tenth Planet 4 could still be out there somewhere and Ascension Island needs to be searched! Sounds like she is happy to answer more queries too.

Thanks Andrew, I have read the Q & A on the Doctor Who news page - very interesting.
For those interested in the procedure of how the 2 inch video tapes MAY have been wiped in the 1960's please refer to page 1490 of the Planet Mondas site.

Sounds a bit like the way I processes digital data accounting tapes for BT - put them on a cleaner/evaluator for drop out counting then put through a bulk eraser (probably the type as the BBC used as it could handle 2" tape) before reuse if error free.

Remember reading her interview in the DWM winter special back in 1981.She was always confident that more would turn up but at the time the recoveries had dried up.What a wise and thoughful person she was.
